Description
This half-day tour from Waikīkī offers a focused introduction to Pearl Harbor’s history. Begin with convenient pickup and a narrated drive to the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, where your guide frames the events leading up to December 7, 1941 and the stories that followed. Inside the galleries, you’ll move through period photographs, artifacts, and short films that capture the morning of the attack and the heroism of service members and civilians. When operations allow, board a U.S. Navy shuttle for the short crossing to the USS Arizona Memorial. Floating above the resting place of the battleship, you’ll see the outline below the water and the marble wall engraved with the names of the fallen—an experience many guests describe as the most moving part of their visit. Returning to the Visitor Center, you’ll have time to browse additional exhibits or the bookstore before continuing on a brief city segment that highlights Aloha Tower, once the tallest building in Hawaiʻi and a welcoming beacon to arriving ships. With round-trip, air-conditioned motorcoach transportation from Waikīkī, pre-arranged admissions, and expert narration throughout, this is the best-value way to learn, reflect, and pay respects at one of America’s most important historic sites—without the stress of driving or parking.
